Tonight on HBO at 10 ET, “True Blood” is showing its last episode. This is the love story between telepathic waitress Sookie Stackhouse and Vampire Bill. As last season ended, Sookie was nearly killed by Rene, who had been murdering women who slept with vampires. Bill was in trouble. He had killed a vampire to protect Sookie, so he was called to vampire justice. The sentence was to make a young woman (Jessica) into a vampire. Well, Jessica as a vampire is hell in a handbasket. Such a handful that Eric, the local vampire sheriff, after agreeing to take her off Bill’s hands gives her back. She is Bill’s responsiblity, and you just know she’s going to push a wedge between the two lovers. Then there’s Sookie’s friend Tara who has dumped her lover, Sam (also the owner of Merlotte’s bar) Tara has been befriended by a mysterious woman named Maryann. I think I’ve covered everything. Oh, wait. There’s Jason, Sookie’s brother. He’s joined a church that hates vampires. Oh, my. Things keep getting better and better.
The new season starts on June 14th. I can’t wait.
