I love fall! I love the changing colors of the leaves, the crisp feel of the air, the wind, the sometimes cinnamony (I know that’s probably not a real word) smell and the holidays we look forward too.
My family and I recently moved to the east coast after living in the desert for ten plus years so this year, I have a special appreciation for the season and everything that comes along with it. You all may be benefiting from this appreciation come our Halloween spooktacular as I may just post some pumpkin recipes I’ve been experimenting with–we’ll see pending how they turn out.
But I digress… the real reason I am mentioning the fall season is because it inspires me. Quite frankly, this entire move has inspired me in so many ways. I enjoy my day work, I’m spending more time with family, I’m cooking more and eating healthier. These are just a few of the many positives and the reason I bring them up is because we spend so much time doing things we don’t enjoy and many times, we don’t even realize how they drag us down.
I remember seeing a health coach for a bit because I, like many women, wanted to lose pregnancy pounds that just hang around longer than they were wanted. After months of no real success in that area, she sat me down and we talked–I mean really talked. Basically, it came down to m not being ready. It gets more complicated but quite frankly I had other priorities and couldn’t set my mind to changing my exercising or eating habits.
So what does this have to do with you? Maybe nothing, or maybe you are looking for a bigger inspiration. Maybe you are in a bum job or a rocky relationship. Maybe you just had a bad day and you need a walk to simply relish the great outdoors. Whatever you feel you need, listen to your gut and search it out.
Happy writing this week!
