Finding the Shoe That Fits by Laura Greenwood

This week I took my good author friend, Arizona Tape, to her first ever pantomime: Cinderella. This one is a very silly British Christmas tradition which includes breaking the fourth wall like crazy and a lot of audience participation.

Luckily, she loved it! But really, there’s nothing not to! Between the pantomime Dames (in this case, the ugly step-sisters), topical jokes (I correctly predicted there’d be at least one Brexit joke) and humour aimed at both kids and adults, it’s a real treat.

More importantly for me, pantomimes are based on fairy tales, something I love with an absolute passion! (And something I’ll be publishing more of in 2019!) The first book I ever finished was a fairy tale retelling (though it is currently unavailable while I make it better!)

But first…I thought I’d tell you a little about If The Shoe Fits, a Cinderella retelling that’s coming next month! It’s linked to my other contemporary story, Kneel For Me (which is on sale for 99 cents at the moment!) It follows Sadie as she falls for a Flemish Prince at a ball she shouldn’t even be at.

I loved writing every moment of this book and am looking forward to writing more fairy tales in the next year!

You can pre-order If The Shoe Fits for 99 cents as part of the Fiery Fairy Tales Collection.
