This month I’m working on switching gears a little. The first month of the new year is winding down, and by today I should be finished with this part of my new, fairly loose, plan.
I want to tighten this plan up as the year goes on, make a step by step plan that can be rolled out as the months go on so I can focus more on my newsletter list as well as my Patreon page, instead of just one or the other.
It shouldn’t be that way, and I intend on spending this year making up for that.
As well as catching up on my reading and writing 🙂 Part of my New Years Resolution, you know?
So for this month, I’m cleaning up all Cold Subscribers. I’ve sent out a series of emails, and will delete those who didn’t open, which will be a couple of thousand. I pay for the names who don’t open or aren’t interested, and I want to make sure that everyone who is most interested can get ahold of the deals I want to hand out 🙂 They can’t all do that if the emails are being delivered to spam boxes or addresses of people who have lost interested.
I know some authors don’t like to delete emails. I’m kind of nervous about this myself, but after a bit over a year and participating in some Newsletter sharing, I’ve decided that’s not the path for me.
I’ll spend this year attempting to engage with my main fanbase the most second only to Patrons 🙂
I’m curious to see where this goes by next December. Next week I’m hoping to have a more fleshed out plan than “I’ll be paying more attention to my reader list” At the very least I’d like to have a publishing and marketing list to show off 🙂
We’ll see. Hopefully I don’t regret deleting all those emails,
