I took a photography class a while back and learned that the camera does not always see what the human eye sees. This is a photo of last night’s moon. To my eye, the moon was a clearly defined full orb with shadows across it’s face. There was a ring of pale dark fuschia and then a wider ring of ghostly white. White clouds floated against the black night sky. Trees almost devoid of leaves reached for the moon out of their reach. Now for me this was an observation that I chose to share with you. Interesting that the camera saw the moon differently from how I saw it.
For writers out there, this is a writing prompt filled with the promise of a story.
Which is it for you? Were you out too last night moon gazing?
