That’s a good question. When a women is reading a romance novel, what does she really want? I know in this day and age, speaking honestly, we have to rescue ourselves a lot of the time. A woman can’t rely on a man to be there. Women have become independent. Some women have taken on the qualities of the knight. Who says a woman can’t be a knight.

Sadly, there are too many real life stories of men abusing women. So what is the attraction to the male knight. The modern day knight isn’t going to be wearing shining armor.

Knights live by a code of honor. Chivalry began as just loyalty to a landed noble and using your military prowess on his behalf. By the end of the 13th Century, the code was expanded into an “ideal” knight that aspired to “faith, hope, charity, justice, strength, moderation and loyalty.” (This is according to Wikipedia

So where does that place the modern day knight? Here’s poll for you to choose which type of knight you prefer.

Now if your preference is not here, please, put share your chosen knight in the comment box. Maybe you don’t want a knight at all.  Tell us that too.
