As you know, I’ve embarked on the learning how to make ebooks with the sole purpose of re-releasing the Vampires in Manhattan Series. I’m about halfway there right now. I printed out the Smashwords Style Guide to study it.
When a writer is working hard, what is the most important thing besides getting out those words? It’s eating well. Don’t forget meals. Don’t skip them. You need fuel to be creative. I’m not a grand chef. I am a survival cook. I’m sharing with you today the simple makings of my Red, White and Blue Salad. It would be less green, if I had decided to shave off the outside of my cucumber. Here’s the fixings:
1 Head of Iceberg Lettuce
1 Tomato (More needed for additional salads)
1 Pint of Blueberries
Now these instructions are for making one individual salad. You will have enough left over for one or two more salads. You start by taking a wedge out of your head of lettuce and slicing it into strips. You layer them on the bottom of your bowl. You take your cucumber. Mine was super large, so I only cut a third off, cut it into slices and then chucks and put them on top of the lettuce. I love tomatoes so I cut my tomato into chunks and added them. One top of this I poured some of the blueberries. Over all of this I poured French Dressing. Voila! Now you have Red, White and Blue Salad. Enjoy!
