More beer, soda, and punch are on the back table. Okay, who put the sparklers on the cheese cake instead of candles? Welcome to the last day of the Birthday Bash of Nights of Passion. First up is Charisma Knight. Welcome, Charisma.
Blurb for The Beast:
Ever wonder what you would do if you crossed paths with a vampire? Would he be that sweet gentleman, sweeping you off your feet without a moment’s notice, or would he be the epitome of evil, the devil incarnate? Do you think you could easily bed him for one night only, and leave, unscathed? Perhaps so, but what do you do when he repeatedly seeks you out, contemplating dark plans for the future. What would you do once realizing beneath that handsome facade lurks an evil, menacing dark force?
Beautiful, and promiscuous Diana Carrington prowls the club scene with her female posse in search of male companionship. Physically drawn to the debonair vampire Julian Grey, Diana ultimately falls for him.
Their sexual attraction to one another blossoms into a full blown relationship, but Diana suddenly realizes she’s in over her head with the vampire who harbors a dark secret, and a demon that may very well lead to her demise.
“My brother, Damian, is a cop out in Los Angeles . He was telling me about strange happenings and seemed overly concerned about me. He warned me not to go to clubs alone. There have been many homicides out there and here,” Diana said with concern. “Would you happen to know anything about that?”
“Some vampires are rogue. They hunt and kill without remorse, not caring if humans find out about us. There are covens that will terminate rogue vampires when they discover them. We are a secret of the night that should remain as so,” Julian said. “Also, modern day vampires exist. Some kill to rid the world of vampires, others sell vampire parts for a hefty price.”
“Geez.” Diana murmured, shaking her head.” I would have never dreamed in a million years.”
“Yes, deep down in your subconscious, you knew we existed, but you denied it, even after our second meeting..” Julian smirked.
“Well, of course, Julian. I actually thought it was the drinking screwing with my mind, you know?” Diana blurted out. “What of the ancient vampires? How old are they exactly?”
“They are at least three thousand or more years old,” Julian said. “They are strict, much stronger, and some of them even look down upon us newly turned vampires.”
“Wow, snotty vampires, who would have thought. By the way, exactly how old are you?”
“I‘m nine hundred and fifty years old,” Julian said, peering at Diana with an intense gaze.
“Wow, Julian. I was thinking you were at least five hundred. No wonder you are so knowledgeable. What now? Are you going to turn me?” she inquired.
“If that‘s what you want,” Julian said, suddenly growing uncomfortable, remembering he‘d bitten her twice. The third bite would begin her transformation, but he was too afraid to tell her so.

Now to end out party with a bang, here’s Autumn Piper. The final contest will be an ecopy of Autumn’s latest Trouble Under Venus to one lucky commenter. Be sure to comment before 9 pm Eastern time on Wed., Feb. 17th, 2010. Contest void where prohibited by law.
What if one of your parents had been missing for thirty years? Would you be curious enough to try and find them, that you’d sign up for an experimental time-travel program?
My latest release has a special place in my heart because I can totally relate to the heroine—her father has been a missing person since she was very small, just like mine. Since he was involved with shady characters, she’s got no idea whether he came to a bad end, ran from them, or turned State’s Witness, but either way, nobody’s turned up a shred of evidence regarding his whereabouts. In order to learn what happened to him (and because she’s a real daredevil) she’ll travel back in time to find him. Would I do the same if I had the chance? Without a doubt, if I was single like her!
Here’s the blurb:
For some love lasts a long time, for others a lifetime. Can theirs outlast space-time?
Randi’s summer vacation plans? Attending Sudo’s Time Travel Academy so she can blast back to 1980 Miami and figure out where her father disappeared to. She’s the head of her class until hottie Mitch arrives disguised as a geeky geologist and totally messes up her meditation. Goodbye Soulful in Sedona, hello Yearning in Yoga. So long solo time-travel, hello pushy partner—who happens to be a buff tri-athlete, a sympathetic listener, and an ace FBI agent on a top-secret mission.
With his help, she’ll conga her way into the Cuban mafia, dodge a few bullets, try not to destroy the delicate fabric of the space-time continuum, and solve The Mystery of the Missing Dad. And maybe fall just a little in love…
Content Warning: A new adventure in women’s fiction, with a heroine who boldly goes where no chick has gone before, tons of danger and intrigue, a roller-discoing Granny, life and death betrayal, steamy Miami nights and one hot FBI agent.
