Now let’s start off by visiting Sandra Sookoo.

Sandra Sookoo is here with us to celebrate the holiday and also her newest book, SAFE FROM THE FLAMES. coming soon from Liquid Silver Books

Darren Kaestle wants nothing more than to do his job.  Putting out fires and keeping the community safe is his idea of a good time until he finds an unconscious woman in an abandoned house fire.  Only then does he get a glimpse of her paranormal abilities.

Hadyn Bernson has harbored anger and fear deep inside herself until it manifests in a rare phenomena.  She can burst into flames whenever her emotions get out of control, and they threaten to do just that when she opens her eyes and finds a sexy firefighter staring back.

Together, these two people from opposite ends of the spectrum must find a way to settle their differences and quench the flames inside before the real terror of a dangerous blaze ends one, or both, of their lives.

Sandra is having a contest.  To one lucky commenter who says they want to enter Sandra’s contest, she will sent a special goodie bag.  Goodie bag will include candy, firefighter themed party favor, postcards, bookmark.  This contest is open to the US (48 states only).

I’ve heard that people have been waiting for this.  Well, I’m celebrating the holiday and the publication of WHEN LOVE SURVIVES, THE STORMY LOVE LIFE OF LAURA CORDELAIS, and A VAMPIRE FOR CHRISTMAS (all part of the Vampires in Manhattan Series) with two giveaways.

First a new (excerpt) taste of A VAMPIRE FOR CHRISTMAS:

They left the restaurant and ventured into the storm, which was picking up.  She was very warm draped in the luxurious fur.  Still Trevor held her tightly against him as if she needed him for heat.  Perhaps she did.  Heat pooled in her lower regions and affected her thoughts.  The car drove up and they entered.  This time, they both sat in the middle.  Georgia shivered with delight.  Everything that had happened was new, exciting, dangerous.  Dangerous because how could she possibly know what Trevor was really like.  Dangerous because she could easily fall madly in love with him and be powerless to prevent her fall.  She didn’t want to give anyone power over her, but love has a way of taking control.
There’s nothing like a sexy, dangerous guy to warm up your winter.  Now for the contests.  There are two because I know some people already have an ebook of A VAMPIRE FOR CHRISTMAS.

First Contest: To one lucky commenter who asks for the ebook, I will send A VAMPIRE FOR CHRISTMAS ebook (in PDF format only).  This is a worldwide contest.  Void where prohibited by law.

Second Contest:  If you already own an ebook copy of A VAMPIRE FOR CHRISTMAS,  say you want to enter the 2nd Contest.  To one lucky commenter, they will win the opportunity to give their first name or a first name they choose to one of my characters in my next ebook–either a hot girl, a hot guy, or the (male) villain.  By the way, I tend to make my villains hot too.  Good luck and happy holidays.

All my books are available at All Romance Ebooks

Nights of Passion welcomes historical romance author Patricia Bates.  Let’s get to know Patricia.

This is from  Borderline Sin published through Blade Publishing:

William Mardsen is the son of a dirt farmer, who made his fortune in beef. Now he’s set his sights on marriage, kids, and a successful career as a law-man. Standing before a preacher with the perfect bride – William finds himself face to face with an irate gun-toting figure.

Marie Logan: Strong-willed, independent, and intelligent, she’s one of the boys. When her younger sister comes home – pregnant and unmarried she’s furious. Determined to show Jack Mardsen the meaning of duty, Marie finds herself butting heads with his older brother, William.

Easy to love, but hard to tame, William is a man who could easily get behind the walls around Marie’s heart. Thrown into the situation with the head strong Canadian, William learns his future is more than an emotionless plan. Together, they’ll forge a love that is strong enough to remove any border – and unite two countries.

The summer sun beat down on William’s head as he watched the powerful animal beneath his latest problem shift. He noted the easy, calm way she soothed the animal even though it had been barely visible. Idly, he wondered if she could ride as well as he could.

I’m sorry I had to do this but I had to leave. Emma and I decided to call it quits. Or rather I did after I found out she’s pregnant. I don’t know if the baby is mine or not, I mean it could be, but I just don’t know. I’m very sorry I couldn’t be at the wedding, Will. I’m going to head for Tawny’s Parlor, and hole up a few days. Happy honeymoon.

William stared at the young girl as she read the letter. Shock, horror, anger–all danced across her face as she read his brother’s words. He shifted uncomfortably when she looked up at him. The dark scowl on her face as she gathered her reins told him Jack was running on borrowed time.

“Wait, I’ll go with–”

“I wouldn’t want you to miss your wedding,” she ground out. “Especially for a funeral, such as it may be. Where is this Tawny’s place?”

“I’ll show you,” Lloyd declared.

“No.” William stopped him with a hand on his arm. A quick glance told him that the girl wouldn’t stay put, the mulish expression on her face told of a bone deep stubborn temperament. He knew Lloyd – like any other man – would have fits if they knew the truth about Emma Logan’s kin. His only choice was to protect the young woman until he could send her home. “I’ll ride with him. I’ve got a few things to say to my brother.”

“What do you think you’re doing?” Abigail demanded as she stepped into his path, her gown gathered around her like a big, poofy shield.

“Doing what I can to save my brother from a bullet,” William replied, and dropped a kiss on her cheek. “I’ll be back in a day or two…”

“William, don’t let that…that boy drag you into his problems.”

“Jack is my brother, and I have to help him,” William replied, and then winked at her. “I’ll be back in no time. Be sure to keep that dress out!”

William snagged the trailing rein to his bay stallion from his deputy and swung into the saddle, with a final nod at his fiancé he turned his mount southward. “You know how to ride, farmer?”

“Better than you do. You waitin’ on the second coming or something? Lead the way.”

CONTEST: Patricia will give away an ebook of BORDERLINE SIN to one lucky commenter.
