Okay, I hope there’s enough for everyone to do.  It’s difficult finding conventions in all parts of the US, but I try.

Now for the more:  Some of you probably read how Mason exposed my secret.  Don’t worry.  I told her she could.  In case you didn’t read it though, I’ll just tell you.  I am now a romance author.  Tease Publishing LLC will be publishing my paranormal romance novella WHEN LOVE SURVIVES.  What happens after the contract?  Well, now I have blurbs to write.  I also get to wait for my editor who will send my novella back to me for rewriting.  And I’m working on my next book.  I’m excited.  I just hide my excitement well–behind gummy bears, back to back episodes of True Blood, and jewelry making.

Today I’m doing some research.  You’re probably wondering why a paranormal romance author does research.  To tell you the truth and this is from being a fantasy author too, fiction usually requires a ton of research to make it look, feel, and taste real.  I do a lot of digging into old legends and mythology. I also do detailed character sketches that weave my character’s history into a particular mythology.  There’s a lot of planning involved  like family trees and timelines detailing specific times in history.  Maps, sometimes ancient maps to find where a character or ancestor came from.  I’ll go back on the internet to find the weather report for that day.  First hand accounts of disasters are also available online or searching through a collection of old newspapers.  Sometimes I just have go to the place and talk to people.

So today is already busy.  A while back I said on Facebook that I living my life at light speed.  I think that’s still true only I’ve gotten used to it.  That’s all for now.  I really have to go and write.
