Today is Friday, and I’m also attempting again to contact the elusive vampire David Hilliard. I’ve called his place of business in New York, several times now and each time, the lovely voice of a receptionist replies, “I’m sorry, Mr. Hilliard is in a meeting. May I take a message?” I’ve left several messages.
Hopefully, my messages will get through and tomorrow I will be interviewing the mysterious David Hilliard, the vampire of note in WHEN LOVE SURVIVES, THE STORMY LOVE LIFE OF LAURA CORDELAIS, and A VAMPIRE FOR CHRISTMAS. (Ah, no, David isn’t the star in the last one. The wonderful Trevor Stenwood is.) Anyway, I digress. I’m a wreck. This was set up as a tentative date and now I can’t get a hold of David. What would tie up vampires in meetings all the time? Hmm.
Well, if you’re in the city and see a handsome man with dark curly hair and dark eyes to die for and covered by a black coat to protect from him from the sun, please, tell him that Susan’s looking for him. Come to think of it, don’t. He might become so distracted with you that he misses the interview entirely. Vampires are so distractible. Sigh.
